  • Jessica King

    FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL
    DANCE TEACHER & ISTD DDE DANCE TUTOR

    Miss Jess has been principal of Kings since 2015, and in that time has loved watching all her students develop and shine.

    Alongside running Kings, she trains local dance teachers at RDC - Dance Teacher Training.
    Jess owns Roynon Dancewear, where she fits many of her own students' pointe shoes too.

    When not working, Miss Jess is a mummy of two and loves spending as much time outside as possible with her family.

  • Miss Lauren

    MODERN & ACROBATIC ARTS TEACHER

    Lauren has a BA Hons degree and Masters degree in Contemporary Dance Performance. Lauren started teaching when she returned home from London. She is currently training wit Jess at RDC to become a qualified dance teacher. She has recently passed the practical exam with flying colours!

    When not teaching Miss Lauren enjoys watching the F1 with her partner!

  • Miss Erin

    TAP TEACHER

    Erin has been a passionate dancer and performer from a young age after taking part in performances at Chichester Festival Theatre and studying all dance disciplines at Jade School of Dance (Southsea).

    As a teenager, along side performing, Erin was keen to teach voluntarily at her local dance school to gain experience and fell in love with the art of teaching. Erin continued to study Dance and Performing Arts at Chichester college whilst completing her ISTD DDE Teaching Qualifications in Tap, Modern Theatre and Classical Ballet.

    Erin continued her Professional training at Italia Conti studying a BA (hons) in Musical Theatre with credits whilst studying including: Velma Kelly in Chicago - Cell Block Tango (Showcase), Ensemble in The Wedding Singer (2021) and Footloose (2022).

    Erin has rich experience teaching and choreographing in various dance schools in genres such as Tap, Modern, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, etc.

    Keen to broaden her knowledge and professionalism in teaching, Erin is currently studying to achieve her ISTD Licentiate qualification in Modern Theatre and hopes to continue this with Tap from September.

    Erin absolutely loves teaching through musicality, rhythm and use of breath and is excited to inspire the next generation of performers!

  • Miss Emily

    BALLET TEACHER

    Loved by all her students, Miss Emily creates a magical atmosphere for the children to thrive. She nurtures her students and helps to develop valuable life skills that enrich their lives outside of class. Miss Emily is a trained pointe shoe fitter and works at Roynon Dancewear and she can also speak and write in Korean!

  • Miss Fi

    MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER

    Fi started dancing, age of 4, at The Helen Laxton School of Dance. Fi trained in Ballet to Grade 8 Advanced level with RAD and Modern Theatre to intermediate level with ISTD. Not only did Fi train in dance, she also trained in Theatre studies at A-Level. Furthermore, Fi studied Musical Theatre and completed many exams under the London College of Music with Thames Valley University and performed in a range of local concerts as a soloist.

    Fi attended the University of Winchester where graduated with a BA(Ed) in Primary Education. She spent nearly a decade as a Primary School teacher working with ages 5-11 yrs.

    Fi is very passionate about Musical theatre and continuing her training which has gone on to her successfully auditioning and becoming a part of the Southampton Musical Theatre Society. She has been in several of their productions which are held at the professional theatre 'The Point' in Eastleigh. She has been a lead dancer in 'The Addams Family' and '9 to 5' and also has been cast as a lead role 'Tobias' in Sondheim's 'Sweeney Todd'. Currently Fi is very excited to be playing a Delta Nu Gaelen in their next production of Legally Blonde. Fi has not only been involved in productions, but also helps out backstage with props, costumes and organising fundraising events for the society such as concerts.

    Fi is currently training at Roynon Dance Centre for her DDE with ISTD in Modern theatre and with DM Dance Centre for her Level 4 Diploma with IDTA in Theatre Craft.

  • Miss Sami

    BALLET TEACHER

    Sami started dancing at 3 years old, taking regular ballet classes. At ‘Sue Merrett School of Dance’ By the age of 6 she has started Modern, Tap, Greek and Jazz classes too.

    At the age of 8 Sami gained a place on the ‘Royal Ballet School Junior Associate’ Programme where she continued her training for 2 years. Whilst being an associate she performed for 2 years with ‘The Royal Ballet’ in their production of ‘The Tales of Beatrix Potter’ at the ‘Royal Opera House’.

    At the age of 11 she joined ‘Elmhurst Ballet School’ in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet’ where she trained for 8 years. Whilst at Elmhurst Sami danced as part of ‘The Birmingham Royal Ballet’ in some of their productions like ‘Cinderella’, ‘Still Life at the Penguin Café’ and ‘Giselle’. At Elmhurst she gained more experience in many styles like modern, jazz, flamenco, tap and contemporary.

    When Sami was 19 she then received a job offer as a dancer in a classical company ‘Compagnie François Mauduit’ based in Toulouse. Here she gained multiple experiences in a variety of styles, whilst also touring around France performing non stop for 3 years.

    At the age of 22, Sami then decided she wanted to persue her dream of becoming an all round dance teacher and is currently on the road to completing her DDE in Classical Ballet.

  • Miss Lauren

    STREET TEACHER & CHOREOGRAPHER FOR KING’S CREATIVE COMPANY

    Lauren started dancing at the age of 3 and hasn’t stopped since. After finishing her GCSE’s she went off to Performers College for 3 years and graduated with a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance Theatre. From there she spent 3 years as a dancer for P&O UK and P&O Australia. During this time she has been lucky enough to see the majority of the world and experience life as a professional dancer. Lauren progressed in this role and, for the past 8 years, has been an Assistant Choreographer for P&O & Cunard Line. Her role required her to teach the casts of singers and dancers the production shows and then take them onboard for their install period to help them settle into their roles on the ship and ensuring the shows reach their high standards.

    Lauren also works many weekends and evenings as a trained and competent stilt walker, fire performer and event dancer. Looking for her new adventure, Lauren is very excited for a new challenge and can’t wait to start sharing her personal and professional knowledge and e experience with the next generation of performers.

  • Lee

    ACTING COACH FOR KING’S CREATIVE COMPANY

    Lee spent three years training at The Brighton Academy and graduated with a First.

    Theatre Credits include ensemble in Pippin, The Assassin in Blondel, Officer Lockstock in Urinetown and Billy in Carrie, all at Roedean Theatre in Brighton. This Christmas Lee has just finished performing in The Polar Express Train Ride in Edinburgh as The Conductor.

    His ultimate dream is to perform in the west end in shows like Kinky Boots or American Idiot.

    VOCAL COACH FOR KING’S CREATIVE COMPANY

    Miss Jess first started dancing at the age of 8 and trained as a Junior Associate for The Royal Ballet School and later trained at Performers College, gaining a Level 6 Diploma in Musical Theatre. Whilst at the same time training to be a dance teacher attaining her DDI- Ballet.

    Over the years Jess has taught private and group classes in Singing, Acting and Dance for various and renowned schools across the UK.

    Jess’s professional performing career has also taken her to various venues worldwide such as: Wembley Arena, London Excel and Bahrain Grand Prix and has spent most of her recent years traveling the world as lead Vocalist onboard P&O Cruises and starring as Dale Tremont in ‘Top Hat’ the musical onboard Cunard.

    Jess is so excited to get to know the students here and can’t wait to see everyone achieve their best potential and most importantly... have some fun!
